Barefoot Gifting was founded in 2022 with a single, deeply felt belief: that giving a gift should feel as meaningful as receiving one. We saw a gap in the Nigerian gifting landscape — beautiful, thoughtful, culturally resonant gifts that told the recipient they were truly seen.
What started as a small passion project grew into something far greater than we imagined. Today, Barefoot Gifting serves hundreds of givers across Nigeria — from intimate birthday moments to large corporate gifting programs — all anchored in the same spirit of intention.
We draw deeply from Nigerian culture, from the warmth of celebration embedded in our traditions, from the joy of naming ceremonies and graduations and weddings. Every box we send is a love letter to those moments — and to the people who make them matter.
I started Barefoot Gifting because I've always believed that the things we give each other should mean something. For as long as I can remember, my mother has written in every single card she's ever given me — the day I was born, the time, and my weight — even now that I'm very much in my 30s. And so it makes sense that I've been drawn to stories, memories, celebrations, and the little details that make people feel seen.
What began as a love for creating thoughtful cards and meaningful gifts slowly grew into something bigger. I noticed that many gifts and event souvenirs were beautiful in the moment but quickly forgotten. I wanted to create something different. Something that sparked emotion. Something that made people pause, smile, remember, and hold on a little longer. That desire became Barefoot Gifting.

The name "Barefoot" reflects the heart of our brand. There is something honest about being barefoot — it speaks of home, authenticity, childhood memories, and the moments when we are most ourselves. We want every product we make to carry that same warmth and familiarity.
